Michael Freytag

Managing Principal

Education: Villanova University, Bachelor of Science in Finance

During his career Mr. Freytag has gained operational, financial, managerial, revenue cycle, and accounts receivable experience at home health, hospice, and durable medical equipment providers throughout the country.  Serving in numerous interim management roles, Mr. Freytag has worked with these providers to increase revenue, improve operations, and ensure accurate reimbursement. Mr. Freytag’s management experience includes serving as Executive Director, Vice President of Operations for a homecare agency, and Patient Accounts Director for a durable medical equipment provider.

Mike is married to Kimmy, with two beautiful daughters: Anna, Emily and currently resides in Philadelphia, PA. As a family they support Relay for Life which raises money for the American Cancer society on an annual basis. When Mike has free time he enjoys sports, running, traveling, and most importantly spending time with his girls

Todd Montigney

Managing Principal

Education: Penn State University, Health Policy Administration

Throughout his years, Mr. Montigney has acquired expansive knowledge of accounts receivable, financial, operational, and management experience in hospitals, health systems, home health, hospice, long term care, and DME facilities. Through his efforts clients have seen an increase in reimbursement, improvements in operations, increase in staff productivity, and reductions in A/R days and bad debt. Mr. Montigney has performed several interim management engagements which have led to a stabilization and improvement of business operations. He has also led several revenue data mining engagements across a variety of provider types that resulted in recovery amounts of over $75 million in reimbursement.

Todd is married to Janelle with three children: Cole, Drew and Shane and currently resides in Perkasie, PA. As a family they support such causes as Team Sanfillipo and Unbound: Sponsor a Child annually. When Todd is not working he devotes his time to his growing family.

Nick Seabrook

Managing Principal

Education: Villanova University, Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Mr. Seabrook’s operations expertise has helped agencies improve profitability and reimbursement. Specifically, he has provided extensive revenue cycle consulting throughout his career, focused on improving daily operations of many providers. He has worked with agencies of all sizes throughout the country. In addition to traditional revenue cycle consulting, Mr. Seabrook has served as an interim director of patient accounts, interim finance manager and interim Chief Financial Officer.

Nick is married to Sue with 3 wonderful children: Sadie, Bryce, Lucy and resides in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. As a family they support causes such as Faces 4 Autism and enjoy spending time together watching sports, watching movies, and going to the beach.

Fran Smith

Managing Principal

Education: Penn State University, Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Fran Smith is a highly skilled homecare executive with diverse experience in the homecare arena. This serves as the foundation of his expertise in both financial and operational aspects of the homecare business. Mr. Smith has assisted agencies ranging from small not-for-profit community providers to large publicly traded chains. Clients benefit from Mr. Smith’s ability to seamlessly integrate agencies’ clinical and financial operations. Mr. Smith has led several home health agency turnarounds normalizing operations while returning the organizations to profitability, restructured business office operations and managed the billing/financial modules of system conversion. Mr. Smith has served in numerous interim management roles including Agency Director, Revenue Cycle Director and Business Office Manager.

Fran is married to Lynette with two wonderful children Xavier and Madeline and reside in Phoenixville, PA. as a family they contribute to many causes such as Bryn Mawr NICU, American Heart Association, and MS society. Fran commits his free time to his family when he is not working

Jess Stover

Principal

Favorite part of my job: Supporting and developing the consulting team. My biggest accomplishment is seeing them grow in their roles and serve as strong and instrumental contributors with their clients.

Education: Penn State University Bachelor of Science , Health Policy and Administration

Ms. Stover’s work has focused on revenue cycle work and operational assessments with emphasis on project management and leadership surrounding accounts receivable reductions, revenue cycle redesigns, system implementation direction, compliance reviews, and audits for home health and hospice agencies. Ms. Stover has worked extensively within the revenue cycle departments in home health and hospice organizations across the country in leadership roles including director of revenue cycle and project manager for system implementation.

Jess is married to James and resides in Coopersburg, PA. Jess and her family started contributing to the Alzheimer’s Association annually to support further research and development for this association to find a cure. When Jess is not working her and her husband like to travel as much as possible. They love exploring a new place and culture together. She also likes to cook and trying new recipes.

A fun fact people don’t know about me: I almost majored in dance when I was scouting out colleges in high school. I even went as far as auditioning and getting accepted into a program, but turned it down to go to Penn State (which did not have a dance program at the time, surprisingly). From there, I ended up exploring other avenues and ended up in the Health Policy & Administration major at PSU and never looked back!

Maria Benn

Coding and OASIS Director

Education: Drexel University, Master’s of Public Health. University of Richmond, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish

During her career, Ms. Benn has worked on performance improvement initiatives with emphasis on reducing length of stay, improving clinical outcomes and enhancing financial performance in support of value-based care. Ms. Benn utilizes her strategic planning, change management, analytical and project management skillset to bring structure and accountability to the projects she works on. Ms. Benn has experience managing clinical operations initiatives to improve care coordination, including facilitating and engaging multidisciplinary groups of clinicians to design and implement a Patient Progression model across 44 units to enhance patient care delivery across the continuum of care.

Maria is married to Josh with a little boy, Levi. They reside in Conshohocken, PA. In their free time, they love to go on hikes with their Australian Cattle dog, volunteer at Philabundance Soup Kitchen and travel to visit friends and family.

Alex Freeman

Director Business Development

Education: University of Alabama Huntsville

Mr. Freeman has more than 10 years of business development experience in the home health and hospice industry. Having spent the last four years at a leading hospice-focused DME provider, Alex provides a wealth of post-acute healthcare industry knowledge and relationships to better directional needs at Blacktree. His expertise enables him to continually create customized solutions for clients and support business development efforts by working with clients and internal teams to create new business opportunities. In addition, Alex aligns closely with the sales team to build long term business relationships.

Prior to his post-acute career he was serving in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, where he was deployed overseas to Iraq in 2007.

Alex is married to his wonderful wife, Shea and they currently reside in sweet home (Oxford) Alabama. In his downtime he enjoys traveling the world with his wife and is grateful for all of the veterans and active duty service members.

Diane Link RN, MHA

Director Clinical Services

Favorite part of my job: Giving back to the homecare/hospice industry by helping organizations improve operations and clinical management

Education: Mount Saint Mary’s College, Master of Health Care Administration

Ms. Link has over 25 years’ experience, primarily in the home health and hospice industry. She began her career as a field nurse, and has since served as a Performance Improvement nurse, Clinical Manager and Executive Director. She also has worked as a Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) surveyor for home health, hospice and private duty services. Diane’s knowledge of home health and hospice regulations along with her experience with the Joint Commission (JACHO), CHAP and Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC) standards has allowed her to help organizations prepare for surveys and develop plans of corrections that meet regulatory standards and improve organizational processes.

Diane is married to Tom with two children: Christopher (24) and Cara (20) and currently resides in Littlestown, PA Diane’s son is an active volunteer fire fighter which allows for Diane and Tom to assist in fundraising activities as members of the volunteer fire department. In her downtime she enjoys scrapbooking, camping and hanging out with her family.
