Outsourcing Services

Outsourcing with BlackTree means partnering with an industry leader that specializes in back-office support to allow your agency to focus on the core aspects of your business. Our expert biller and collectors, OASIS and documentation review nurses, and authorization/insurance verification specialists focus on capturing every dollar to which your agency in entitled.  Spend more time focusing on your patients while our experienced BlackTree team helps you improve episodic reimbursement levels and reduce write-off levels.

BlackTree has been a tremendous resource for our agency beginning with their coding and OASIS reviews.  These reviews have allowed us to more accurately code our assessments and lock our OASIS in a more timely manner.  This decreased our days to RAP which has significantly increased our cash flow.  Due to our positive experience with BlackTree’s coding work, we also engaged BlackTree to provide outsourced billing and collections services.  They have been able to identify and correct process and system setup issues within our billing software to allow for clean initial claim submission while also collecting older receivables with these issues.  Overall BlackTree has been an ideal partner for our agency and we could not be more pleased with the services they have provided.

Insurance Verification

BlackTree’s primary functions as your outsourced insurance verification team are to process referrals and inquiries about existing services and other resources for the agency, verify the appropriate payor source for each patient, initiate insurance authorizations, assist with and complete data entry, facilitate the referral intake process, facilitate the flow of patient information to/from staff nurses, patients and physicians, and to assist staff with problem solving. By managing this process for your agency, BlackTree will help identify the primary payor source for each patient, ensuring that the next steps required by that payor are followed to minimize future write-offs.
